This search agreement last for 10 years. Microsoft will use the Yahoo search technology into its existing web search platforms for next 10 years. Surprisingly Bing with the exclusive search algorithm will be the paid search platform for Yahoo sites.
Microsoft will have to pay traffic acquisition costs to Yahoo with an initial rate of 88% of search revenue. Also the self advertising for Yahoo and Microsoft will be fulfilled by AdCenter program by Microsoft.
