Google has changed their Favicon !! Favicon is a 16*16 size image , which can be usually shown in the browser address bar or in your bookmarks !! The new Google Favicon is what you are seeing below !
The Old Favicon for google has been : 
Google comes with a nice and well designed Favicon file ! We can also recommend our google Favicon to google. All you need to do is created a Favicon with 16*16 image size and .png, .gif, or .ico file format with 5 KB size and 32 bit alpha transparency and Submit in the following Link !
