International Seminar on Cyber Crime

Computer Technology plays a vital role on Human Development.  Through computer technology, man started to do researches on outside planet. Whatever may be the distant of the research or depth of the study, it is made through using the Computer technology.  But there always lies a dark side of a brighter side.  The crimes through the International Network are day by day increasing rapidly. An international seminar was held to handle the cybercrime and steps were discussed to control and prevent the crimes thorough computers. The details of the seminar are as follows:

The changes seen and handled by the humans have taken new concepts to evolve within short time which the same concepts took hundreds of years to take shape in earlier centuries.  As the technology improves the drawback also arises.  These changes has an positive impact on humanity through indicating the right path for one’s life, a new culture , a new dimension to a social problem that cause a dramatic change in the way of traditional thinking.  The interactions between the different countries are also made real through the technology of computer.

This seminar concentrates on the phenomenon of the cyber crime activities and time after the modernity, paving a new path for the perspective of the Cooperation criminal globally.  This seminar is not a traditional one and it is a separate one from the historical process.  This seminar aims to provide the adequate solutions and preventive measure for the crimes made through the advanced technologies.  There are good forces that have good technical knowledge and also advanced researches particularly after the period of World War – II. It was World War – II that summarized the revolution of the technology especially the Information Technology and telecommunications.  This development got accelerated through the end of the Cold War, thus transforming the World as a Global Village status to a Globalization process. Seminar also emphasizes the importance of the emergence concept, their approaches and the social steps to be practiced that will offer a boundary less technology.

Cyber crimes involve the illegal or criminal activities which are more traditional. Some of the activities of the Cyber crimes are theft, Fraud, forgery through transactions, defamation and insult.  These activities are highly punishable under the Criminal Law.  Computers have transformed these traditional illegal activities into a new range such as   E-mail Spoofing, Cyber defamation, Spam, Cyber pedophilia on the International Network (Internet). Some of the activities are already mentioned in the International Legal Framework for example as in the Budapest Convention. This seminar invites the paper presentation focusing on following topics:
