Hi, I'm having a problem with SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator (SCIA). Recently, I noticed that the SCIA icon was not visble in the task bar of my desktop. I then checked to see if it was operating through my Task Manager and it was not. I then checked to see if it was listed and checked as a start-up program though msconfig and SCIA's own settings. It was listed and checked in both cases. I tried unchecking and re-checking the program (and applying) in case the setting was somehow "lost". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SCIA and redoing the settings, but that didn't work either. SCIA just would not start automatically. I might add that it did so at previous points in time. When I start the program manually, I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL and it works just fine. This is obviously not the prefect scenario under which to work since it's intended to start automatically. What if I forget or just don't think of it?
Having done all that, I tried to contact CBS Software, the manufacturer of the product. I've sent a number of email messages (some with return receipt requests). I sent a fax to them. I left a message on their answering service. In none of these cases did I receive any kind of answer, I tried doing an internet search to see if there was some indication of problems the company was having, but I could not find anything. My search led me to your website and this inquiry. I would appreciate it if you could find out why they are not providing support for their product. I thought that you might be interested since you either gave them a positive review or gave them an award of some kind which they prominently display on their website. I hope that you will give me some assistance. Thank you.
